Reward Schemes

Booking Based Reward Scheme

  1. Subject to the terms and conditions of this offer, drivers are eligible to participate in a driver rewards scheme during the offer period, which commences and ends on the days and times specified in the communications made to you relating to the scheme (Communications).
  2. The offer applies to completed rides in the cities specified in the Communications only.
  3. The offer is a driver rewards scheme, the details of which are as follows:
    • A driver will be entitled to receive additional amounts shown in the table set out in the Communications if the driver completes the number of bookings described in the corresponding row of the table.
    • The entitlement will only apply to bookings accepted by a driver between the dates and hours specified in the Communications.
    • In addition, a driver must maintain the completion rate displayed in the ‘Rewards’ section of the Ola app to be eligible for the rewards scheme offer.  Completion rate is calculated as the number of total completed bookings out of all the booking requests received by the driver during the hours to which the offer applies.
  4. Payment for all amounts made under the offer will be made according to Ola’s usual payment terms.
  5. The offer is not transferable or redeemable.
  6. Ola reserves the right to change or withdraw the offer at any time.
  7. Ola driver agreement and standard terms apply.

Commission Cashback Scheme

  1. Subject to the terms and conditions of this offer, drivers are eligible to participate in a driver rewards scheme during the offer period, which commences and ends on the days and times specified in the communications made to you relating to the scheme (Communications).
  2. The offer applies to completed rides in the cities specified in the Communications only.
  3. The offer is a driver rewards scheme, the details of which are as follows:
    • A driver will be entitled to receive the equivalent monetary amount, paid back to him by Ola, for any number of rides taken over and above the minimum threshold of rides specified.  
    • The entitlement will only apply to bookings accepted by a driver between the dates and hours specified in the Communications.
    • In addition, a driver must maintain the completion rate displayed in the ‘Rewards’ section of the Ola app to be eligible for the rewards scheme offer.  Completion rate is calculated as the number of total completed bookings out of all the booking requests received by the driver during the hours to which the offer applies.
  4. Payment for all amounts made under the offer will be made according to Ola’s usual payment terms.
  5. The offer is not transferable or redeemable.
  6. Ola reserves the right to change or withdraw the offer at any time.
  7. Ola driver agreement and standard terms apply.

10% Commission on EV Rides

  1. The 10% commission applies only to rides booked by the rider under the Ola EV category.
  2. The Ola EV category is only available for rides in London and for drivers of 100% EV vehicles
  3. The offer is not transferable or redeemable.
  4. Ola reserves the right to change or withdraw the offer at any time.

Challenge Zone Scheme

  1. Subject to the terms and conditions of this challenge zone scheme (Scheme), drivers in the UK who have received this offer (have the offer visible within the Rewards tab of the Ola Driver app when logged in with their account) are eligible (eligible drivers) to participate in the Scheme implemented by Ola.
  2. The benefits available to eligible drivers under the Scheme (Scheme benefits) are available only if such eligible drivers fulfil the Scheme criteria set out in paragraph 3 below (Scheme criteria).
  3. An eligible driver must fulfil the following Scheme criteria:
    1. BOOKINGS
      • Complete the requisite number of ‘Challenge Zone’ bookings specified within the Scheme criteria for a particular Reward benefit. 
    2. TIME
      • Only bookings with a pickup time that falls within the scheme period will be eligible. This  Scheme period is defined as the period between the start and end time stated in the Reward tab of the driver app for that particular scheme
    3. LOCATION
      • A ‘Challenge Zone’ booking is one where the pickup location lies within the boundaries of that sheme’s mapped Challenge Zone.
      • Schemes that include Challenge Zone criteria will have a map of the Zone within the Reward details. Tapping the scheme from the Rewards tab homepage will show these.
      • Drivers can check if bookings they complete have met all of the ‘Challenge Zone’ scheme criteria: if it does the booking will be added to the booking tally for the Reward at the end of the ride.
    4. COMPLETION RATE
      • If there is a completion rate target mentioned in the scheme criteria then the eligible driver must maintain a completion rate of at least the target stated in the Reward criteria. Failure to achieve the minimum completion rate over the duration of the scheme period will mean that the scheme criteria have not been successfully met, and the driver will not receive the reward benefit, irrespective of performance against any other of the scheme criteria 
    5. Eligible drivers will be able to see their real time completion rate in their app throughout the scheme period, and can therefore track their performance vs the target.
  4. SCHEME BENEFITS:
    1. An eligible driver who fulfils these Scheme criteria will be entitled to the Scheme Benefit(s) specified against the particular Scheme in the Reward tab of the Ola Driver App when logged in with his account.
    2. Payment of the Scheme benefits will be made on the day after the end of the applicable Scheme period.
    3. Calculation of the rewards for the Scheme benefits is based on a driver’s standard take home rate as an Ola driver, which excludes booking fees, tolls, airport fees and any other third party charges.
  5. The offer applies to eligible rides in the UK
  6. Commissions on rides outside of the Scheme period or on rides in any other cities are not affected by this Scheme.
  7. This offer is not transferable or redeemable.
  8. Ola reserves the right to change or withdraw this offer at any time.
  9. Ola driver agreement and standard terms apply
  10. IMPORTANT NOTICE: Relationship with Ola:
    1. This Scheme is a promotion only and Ola in no way requires any driver to participate in this Scheme.
    2. All drivers who choose to participate in this Scheme do so solely at their discretion and will operate as an independent contractor.
    3. The relationship between Ola and a driver under this Scheme is on the basis of two independent contractors contracting for mutual benefit and nothing in these terms and conditions or the Driver Agreement will be interpreted as creating the relationship of employer and employee between Ola and a driver participating in this Scheme at any time, under any circumstances or for any purpose.
    4. In addition to the terms and conditions listed here, a driver who participates in this Scheme is required to comply with the conditions outlined in the Driver Agreement and nothing in these terms and conditions terminates or waives the:
      • the rights of a driver and Ola under the Driver Agreement;
      • the obligations that a driver and Ola have to each other under the Driver Agreement; and
      • any onboarding, vehicle or insurance requirements under the Driver Agreement.

Assured Rewards Scheme (for selected drivers only)

  1. Subject to the terms and conditions of this assured rewards scheme (Scheme), drivers in the UK who have received this offer through an email or any other form of communication from Ola and for whom this offer is visible on their Ola app are eligible (eligible drivers) to participate in the Scheme implemented by Ola.
  2. The benefits available to eligible drivers under the Scheme (Scheme benefits) are available only if such eligible drivers fulfil the Scheme criteria set out in paragraph 3 below (Scheme criteria).
  3. An eligible driver must fulfil the following Scheme criteria:
    • complete at least the required number of bookings at any time during the scheme period (Scheme period is defined as the period for which the scheme is active for the eligible drivers in the rewards section of the driver application)
    • maintain a completion rate as per the assured rewards scheme during the scheme period
  4. The driver will be eligible for the Assured Reward during the Scheme period in case the driver fulfils the criteria set out in paragraph 3 above. Refer to the below illustration for clarity:
    • For example (for any eligible driver), if the scheme is £X on completing a minimum of Z bookings, with any minimum completion rate criteria (defined as the % of rides completed out of the total number of rides offered to that driver within the scheme period) between the scheme duration specified, then the eligible driver who completes Z or more bookings while fulfilling the completion rate criteria but who earns only £Y will be entitled to an earnings top up of £(X-Y) to match the committed amount of £X
    • If the driver however earns more than £X pounds during the Scheme period, he will not be eligible for this reward
  5. Eligible rides means all completed rides completed by the driver during the Scheme hours
  6. The offer applies to eligible rides within the service cities in the UK
  7. Payment of the Scheme benefits will be made on the day after the end of the applicable Scheme period day.
  8. Calculation of the assured rewards for the Scheme benefits is based on a driver’s standard take home rate as an Ola driver, which excludes booking fees, tolls, airport fees and any other third party charges.
  9. Commissions on rides outside of the Scheme period or on rides in any other cities are not affected by this Scheme.
  10. This offer cannot be taken, used or combined with any other offer, discount, prize or promotion.
  11. This offer is not transferable or redeemable.
  12. Ola reserves the right to change or withdraw this offer at any time.
  13. Ola driver agreement and standard terms apply.
  14. IMPORTANT NOTICE: Relationship with Ola:
    • This Scheme is a promotion only and Ola in no way requires any driver to participate in this Scheme.
    • All drivers who choose to participate in this Scheme do so solely at their discretion and will operate as an independent contractor.
    • The relationship between Ola and a driver under this Scheme is on the basis of two independent contractors contracting for mutual benefit and nothing in these terms and conditions or the Driver Agreement will be interpreted as creating the relationship of employer and employee between Ola and a driver participating in this Scheme at any time, under any circumstances or for any purpose.
    • In addition to the terms and conditions listed here, a driver who participates in this Scheme is required to comply with the conditions outlined in the Driver Agreement and nothing in these terms and conditions terminates or waives the:
      1. the rights of a driver and Ola under the Driver Agreement;
      2. the obligations that a driver and Ola have to each other under the Driver Agreement; and
      3. any onboarding, vehicle or insurance requirements under the Driver Agreement.

Streak Incentives Scheme

  1. Subject to the terms and conditions of this Streak Reward scheme (Scheme), drivers in the UK for whom this offer is visible on the rewards tab in their Ola app are eligible (eligible drivers) to participate in the Scheme implemented by Ola.
  2. The benefits available to eligible drivers under the Scheme (Scheme benefits) are available only if such eligible drivers fulfil the Scheme criteria set out in paragraph 3 below (Scheme criteria).
    • An eligible driver can complete a Streak Reward by meeting the Scheme Criteria as follows:
    • STARTING A STREAK: In order to start a ‘Streak’ and enable rides to be counted  for this Reward, the eligible driver must make a pickup that is BOTH  within the time defined as the scheme period AND within the geographic area defined as the Challenge Zone (a map  of this Zone is visible in the Reward description in the app). This will unlock the Streak Reward and will be counted as the first eligible ride on its completion.
    • MAINTAINING THE STREAK: The Streak will continue after this, so long as the eligible driver accepts and completes each and every subsequent booking offered to him, whilst being consistently logged into the platform, and in an online state.
    • The scheme period time requirement and Challenge Zone geographic requirement do not apply for any ‘Streak’ bookings other than the first ride. However all rides must take place on the same day, and within the same city.
    • COMPLETING THE STREAK: by completing at least the number of rides specified for the Streak Reward, without breaking the Streak at any point (as defined in section 4 below). This will be reflected in the ride counter on the Rewards tab in the app.
    • Any rides with a pickup that occurs before 23.59 on the day that the eligible driver has the ‘Streak’ Reward scheme available to him can count towards the ‘Streak’ ride count. Any rides with pickups after this time are not counted.
    • A maximum of 5 Streak Rewards can be earned by a driver per day.
  3. BREAKING A STREAK: Any of the following actions by the eligible driver will end the Streak and cause the Streak ride count to be reset to zero:
    • Rejecting a booking request (including letting a booking request time out without accepting)
    •  Not being available for bookings: either by logging out of the app, or going into offline state using the toggle at the top of the homescreen. Additionally, switching off the device (including device failure e.g. battery dies),  or extended loss of network will also end the ‘Streak’.
    • The eligible driver cancelling any rides he has accepted: this includes instances where the driver asks the rider to cancel. (Genuine rider cancellations will not end the streak). The only exception to this is the instance where the eligible driver cancels for a rider no-show, and is in eligible for a cancellation fee in accordance with Ola’s cancellation policy, including waiting at the pickup point for the minimum time specified on the countdown time in the app, and making reasonable attempts to contact the rider through the app.
    • Not moving towards the pickup location within a timely manner after accepting a booking, or travelling in the incorrect direction.
    • Dropping a rider elsewhere other than the destination they have entered within the app (If they wish to change this, please ask them to update their new destination in the app first
  4.  General Terms:
    • The offer applies to eligible rides within the service cities in the UK
    • Payment of the Scheme benefits will be made on the day after the end of the applicable Scheme period day.
    • Calculation of the assured rewards for the Scheme benefits is based on a driver’s standard take home rate as an Ola driver, which excludes booking fees, tolls, airport fees and any other third party charges.
    • Commissions on rides outside of the Scheme period or on rides in any other cities are not affected by this Scheme.
